Cat Logic on Closeness and Distance
What is it now? Are you surprised that we’re sitting side by side? Thought we only do that when our catsitter is around* ?
Well. We do indeed sit close to each other here, but technically, Kajsa is on the fridge and Tessa on the Grand Throne – something compleeeeetly different from sharing one piece of furniture. So don’t ask why we can’t hang together on your king-size bed; you’re comparing apples and oranges.
____
* Cats will understand, but if you’re a human reader: yesterday one was sitting on the scratch tree and the other on the laundry bin. Again – close to each other, but on different furniture. Makes total sense to us.

So true.

Mom here: thank you, Mollie! I was actually for a second wondering if this is really true. When I saw them sitting there, I suddenly realized their pattern, but I was still a bit unsure. Many cat blogs I follow often show pictures of their cats snuggling together, but Kajsa and Tessa hardly ever do that.
Thank you also for visiting us so often!

I understand! Eric and Flynn were litter mates and did everything together, but I had cats before that would lie near to each other, but would never get close enough to touch.

I guess they have what cats consider a polite relationship. They like and respect each other, but keep their polite distance. That being said, they actually hate being apart!

We don’t think you two are close at all! Levels matter!

Good point , good point. Our silly human has no idea. /Tessa and Kajsa

Hahaha, you girls are like my boys. They can be close but usually don’t share one piece of furniture. Very rarely that happens, though 🙂
By the way, your Grand Throne is super cool!

Thank you! The white plank was already in the apartment when we moved in, and I saw immediately the chance to catify it. In fact, that was the first thing I saw and thought about when I saw the kitchen at the showing! First things first – who needs a stove or fridge when one can catify the kitchen door!

Closeness is in the paw of the beholder! Hey, you two look happy and that’s all that matters!
July 23, 2017 @ 11:01
Exactly! We do like each other, and we hate being apart, but we prefer a polite distance to each other. Don’t really understand why Mom even bothers – it’s not her business! /Tessa and Kajsa

You two are so funny and cute 🙂

Of course we are – we’re divine creatures, and gorgeous by nature. / Tessa and Kajsa
